What is a common behavior that many parents engage in that is NOT helpful for the children?

The Answer is arguing, fighting and bickering !

It is easy to get caught up in the moment,  but doing so in front of your children is harmful for them. Parents often are not aware that children are listening; even if you think you have put them to sleep or they are in the other room doing homework. They are listening and they are affected by what they hear. So what to do?

1. Try to have conversations that may get heated when they children are not home.
2. Have conversations in a public place so you are “forced” to keep it civil.
